Spend your Christmas and New Year Holiday in European Cities

The holidays are here and you need to prepare your next trip just to spend your holiday with friend and family. We are getting closer to the end of year 2013. That means the 2013 Christmas and New Year’s Day are getting closer.

If you have not yet decided how to spend the holidays, here are our suggestions. This time make sure to include Europe travel into the list.

For your information, Europe has a lot to offer in every season, but during the Christmas and New Year’s it is something different. Not only will you see the beautiful architecture, you will also experience an unforgettable holiday atmosphere.

You will see beautiful Christmas markets, amazingly decorated trees and buildings and enchanting New Year’s fireworks. Now we present three cities of Central Europe: Vienna, Munich and Prague. As these three cities are close to each other and you can visit all three during the holidays.

VIENNA CHRISTMAS MARKET

Vienna Christmas Market is must visit place if you are here. Christmas markets start in mid November, and that is the best time to spend there. There are several Christmas markets which all take place in Vienna’s squares. The most famous markets are: Vienna Magic of Advent at the Rathausplatz, Christmas Village on Maria-Theresien-Platz, Old Viennese Christmas Market on Freyung and the Christmas Market in the Ehrenhof in front of Schönbrunn Palace.

MUNICH CHRISTMAS MARKET

Munich also famous for its Christmas Markets, the most famous is Christkindl Market which is held on the Marienplatz in the heart of the city centre.

PRAGUE CHRISTMAS MARKET

Prague is beautiful all year round, but during the Christmas and New Year holiday is something special. Christmas markets in Prague, open at December 24th, 25th, and 26th, are located around the city, the most famous and attractive is at Old Town Square. At New Years Eve in midnight you can watch amazing Fireworks. The best place to watch fireworks is somewhere near the river. You can also watch fireworks from Prague’s main squares.
